Heroes Archives Behold
Welcome to my website, where I share my art featuring my logos, characters, scenes, environments, and more. I talk about how I work on art and even share some tips, tricks, and skills; and why I have such a passion for art. Hope you like it!
I’m Harrison Brookes, I am an artist in Los Angeles, CA. From an early age I loved art and grew up watching classic animation from Warners Bros., Disney, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks, etc. Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. All my time of making sketches and drawings started off as a hobby that turned into practice for exploring my own style. As I grew older, I explored other mediums of art, such as foreign animation, art throughout history, and even literature. I started to improve my style, learning the many strengths of art and how it appeals to a wide variety of audiences. When it comes to developing my work, I challenge myself to try new techniques, to not be afraid to experiment with other mediums. I often take my time planning, it is very important to me that what I create is the best quality. I hope to inspire people with my work to see the value that art brings to the world.
This is a city that is part of the world setting for a potential animation that I was creating. In order to match the tone with the show, I made it all dark, ominous, and disturbing to give people a horror like vibe and make it feel like a dystopian world. The city was inspired by the buildings from the animated/live action 1992 film “ Cool World”
Art on Paper
All my rough drafts start on paper because it allows me to have more control of the pencil, while letting me be creative as I want to be. I also start to understand what my drawings are about, the further I go.
Art on a Frame
After drawing my rough draft on paper I then transfer the draft onto my iPad. I then underline the characters or setting. Sometimes I add in some improvements and changes to the design. Then I color the characters including adding shading.

Animation’s Strength
Animations’ strongest strength is having no limitations on the designs and movement you bring to the characters. I like making the most out of that strength, I design the characters the way I want to and have full control to decide how the movement should look.
Quote for all creators
“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, Because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” - Walt Disney
